Description
Cell Information: Human Renal Epithelial cells (HRE) have a pivotal role in kidney functions such as reabsorption of glucose and protein filtered by glomerulus and secretion of organic acids and drugs; they also play a part in the glucotoxicity associated with diabetes. The progression of renal dysfunction in type 2 diabetes heavily involves injury of the tubular epithelium as well as the glomerulus. HRE provide a useful tool for studying various aspects of pathology and biology of the human renal proximal tubular cells in vitro. The cells can be used for the following applications:
The Transfection Reagent: Transfection of primary cells, such as HRE, is a problem in the laboratory routine and further in tissue engineering and gene therapy. Most methods working effectively for cell lines in culture fail to transfect primary cells. Human Renal Epithelial cell (HRE) Avalanche™ Transfection Reagent is a new, proprietary solution specifically designed for transfection on HRE. The proprietary formulation of lipids and polymers ensures the highest possible transfection efficiencies and viabilities for HRE. No other transfection reagents can match the efficiency, convenience, and gentleness of Human Renal Epithelial cell (HRE) Avalanche™ Transfection Reagent for transfection on HRE.
